Spreading the Word
Helping Roger
Wrist Bands
A $5 donation is appreciated but not required while supplies last.
Great conversation starters to help let people know about MDS and help direct them to Tami's website or the website of our friend Roger "I Have MDS.com."
Roger underwent his stem cell transplant in March of 2009 after being diagnosed with Myelodsyplasia 11 months earlier.
Because he was uninsured at the time, Roger faced delayed treatment and his future holds extremely expensive prescription costs to keep him healthy following his transplant. These wrist bands are his main source of income while he recuperates from his transplant for the next 6 months until he is able to go back to work.

All funds will be sent to Roger. Please send checks to:
Stacie Tamaki
PO Box 654
Campbell CA, 95009
Or use Paypal. A $5 donation to help Roger is appreciated but not required. If you'd like to send more please do. Spreading the word is what is most important so please let me know (by using the contact form) if you would like a bracelet but cannot afford one at this time and I will cover the cost for you.

Roger on his transplant day.

The transplant in progress...

After several days of being violently ill from the chemo used to destroy his bone marrow to allow the new stem cells to engraft, Roger began losing his hair. This is Roger a few days later feeling better and in the process of having his head shaved.
